Learning Objectives:
- Overview of the US Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes residential green building program and how to apply its rating system to single family and multifamily residential projects.
- Analysis of the design, construction and job site management strategies used in the LEED for Homes program that impact sustainable site selection and treatment, energy and water efficiency, responsible material procurement and disposal, indoor air quality, and green community awareness and education.
- Overview of the components of the LEED for Homes program that address sustainable development, protection of ecosystems, conservation of energy, water, air and material resources, and building science topics relating to durability, mechanical and construction systems, and occupant health and comfort.
