Learning Objectives:
- Describe green home components as they apply to new and existing homes, including energy efficiency construction concepts and specific issues that green homes need to address: land, water, energy, air, and resource use.
- Explain green and energy efficiency programs, their market penetration and financial incentives that are active nationally and in NC to clients.
- Convey the benefits and features of a third party verified green home to clients.
- Relate the need for green home maintenance to clients.
- Summarize a few issues specific to existing homes including: dealing with lead, asbestos, and other poisons; invasive plants/pests and home use during construction.
Individual workshops may be cancelled if registration is low – cancellation notifications will typically be issued the Friday before the first workshop of the week.
